After nearly 10 years of planning and staging, the final piece of store renovation is being put into place at Lowe’s Greenhouse. The centerpiece of the renovation, the WILD THISTLE Gift Shop, will be an all new, inspiring, shopping area offering a wide array of gifts, home décor and garden accents.
Owner Jeff Griff states, “Personally, I am most excited about our widely expanded parking area that will allow you to get in and
out with ease. Old habits die hard, so we realize that after nearly 90 years, the new store and traffic pattern will take some getting used to and will not come without some inconveniences along the way. We thank you, in advance, for your patience and understanding – but mostly for your support and encouragement.”
The old gift shop and wooden structure (covered shopping) next to it are coming down! In their place will be a new main entrance, gift shop and checkout area! The new building will be air conditioned, which will allow us to carry orchids, candles and other items throughout the summer months. “We are so excited about this change and hope that you’ll love it!” said Mary Lynn, Jeff’s wife.
For years, the parking entrance has been at the north end of the parking lot. If you are wondering what you can expect from this renovation, the entrance and exit will now be at the south end, where the exit has always been. What has been the parking lot will now be a sales and display area for plants! The main entrance to the store will be from the south.
