In partnership with the Valley Art Center, Lowe’s Greenhouse will host “Framed,” a fun and interactive artistic competition on Saturday, November 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Similar to the popular competitive cooking show, “Chopped,” teams and individuals will create works of art from mystery supplies. Prize winners in the creative challenge will be determined by audience applause.
The event is open to the public. Tickets are $10.00 for participants and competitors and may be purchased in advance at Lowe’s Greenhouse and at the door. A holiday beverage is included in the ticket price and a food truck will be on site for individual purchases. A portion of the ticket price and sales during the event will support Valley Art Center, a community based, nonprofit visual arts organization.
“We think this new event has great potential to bring together many of the arts organizations in the community. It’s a great team-building exercise! We’re excited to watch the creativity unfold,” said Lowe’s Greenhouse Owner Jeff Griff.
Registration for individual and team participants is underway. Individuals may also register to compete at the door. A limited number of individual participants will be randomly selected to compete during the event. To register for the competition, email melissa@lowesgreenhouse.com.
