Mary Yoder’s Amish Kitchen Celebrates 25th Anniversary

On June 29 at Mary Yoder’s Amish Kitchen, we are celebrating! Come in to receive a small gift and a free piece of cake with your lunch or dinner. Someone will win a beautiful Amish-made quilt! Just print your name, address, phone number and email on the back of your food ticket, and put it in the drawing. No raffle tickets to buy, just enter while you are at the table! Some of the people who helped to make Mary Yoder’s possible will be here to greet you, and Barbara Yoder Hall’s book, Born Amish, will beĀ available at a deep discount.

Mary Yoder’s was first located in downtown Middlefield and moved to our present location in July of 1990. There were three families that were the main influences in the development of Mary Yoder’s. Larry and Donna Kannal were the financial supporters, Ed and Barbara Hall were the managers, and Lester, Sarah, and Kathryn Hostetler were responsible for bringing their baking and home cooking expertise to the restaurant. Sadly, Barbara was killed in an automobile accident shortly after Mary Yoder’s opened. The restaurant has been named in honor of Mary Yoder, Barbara Yoder Hall’s mother. While Mary Yoder is no longer with us, you can meet Larry and Donna Kannal, Ed Hall, and Sarah Hostetler when you come to celebrate with us. We hope to see you on Saturday, June 29, at Mary Yoder’s Amish Kitchen.
