Amos Arnold – CFO and Business Planning

Amos is a seven year resident of Chardon and a critical thinker who enjoys the challenge of pushing for excellence in all that surrounds him. He has a range of experience from general contracting, to I.T. and web development, to consulting and marketing.

“Implementing the nuts and bolts of new ideas, improving efficiency, and helping people find and pursue their goals and purpose are the tasks that bring excitement to my daily life. Geauga News is another great idea that I’m excited to be a part of, bringing a positive connection to our county!”

Amos is CFO and also a part of the development team of Geauga News.

Rachel Hunziker – Founding Writer and General Manager

Rachel has been a life long resident of Geauga County, growing up in Middlefield and now living in Huntsburg. From 1999 – 2006 Rachel worked at Geauga County Sheriff’s Office as a records clerk, corrections officer, and eventually sub-contracted to work in the Federal Building in downtown Cleveland to assist federal agents who investigated social security fraud. She now works at Punderson in HR and as Front Office Operations manager.

Rachel enjoys walking and biking with her husband Ed and spending time in Geauga County’s parks. Rachel handles our day to day content management and writer training.

Patty Arnold – Editor

Patty is the mother of seven children whom she home schooled for many years with an incredible combination of non-traditional teaching methods, motivation, and discipline. She taught her children that the only limit in life is your imagination and how hard you are willing to work for your dreams. Art and innovation is a natural part of her creative process.

Everyone at Geauga News greatly appreciates the time and skill that she contributes as editor, her hard work, and the time she volunteers here for us at Geauga News.

Gabe Arnold – Creative Director

Gabe founded his first service company at age 16, quickly mastered online advertising and lead generation, and sold over $5 million in business before age 21. After the decline of the housing market, Gabe moved into the technology world full time. He has founded a half dozen technology companies that are all in operation today.

Gabe began working on the concept of Geauga News because he felt there was no central source for information, no reliable online classifieds dedicated to our specific area, and no outlet for the positive news that was going on around us every day. He hoped that there would be a few people who would enjoy reading about all the good things that happen here in Geauga County and that as they did so, they would also be inspired to perpetuate the good by becoming more actively involved in the community, thereby creating even more positive news to report.

As he started to spread the word about this idea of positive local news, he was surprised to find that there were many people who felt the same way. By a series of very fortunate events, Gabe met Rachel Hunziker early on via Twitter, and she immediately dove in head first and took on as much work in the project as she possibly could. Rachel became one of our co-founders as she enthusiastically dedicated an immense amount of time and energy in an effort to make Geauga News a success. Gabe’s wife, mother, brothers, and sister heard about the project, and they quickly offered all their support to help make the idea come alive. Thanks to their tireless efforts and the help of all our faithful writers, Geauga News has quickly gotten off to a great start!
