Mel's Shoes N' More - A Geauga County Gem

Every day on my way to the office I drive down Burton Windsor Road. As I turn right off of Rt. 528, I usually see a sign on the corner that reads Mel’s Shoes N’ More 1 mile down.

I continue on my drive, forgetting all about the sign, and before long, as I maneuver through the curves, I see a big sign again for the store. I have passed this place a million times it seems, not knowing what it was or why I should stop there.

In January, I attended the annual Geauga County Tourism meeting. There I had the pleasure of being introduced to Mel and Nancy Miller. As we started to talk about our businesses, they informed me that they own Mel’s Shoes N’ More located on Burton Windsor Rd. I immediately got excited and told them that I pass their business every day on my way to work. Mel responded with “you should stop in and see us sometime.”

So that’s just what I did…

I stopped in there a few weeks ago and was truly impressed with what I saw. I honestly thought I would just see wall to wall boots, for mostly men, but that wasn’t the case. They have a wide variety of shoes, boots, and sandals for both men and woman. A wide variety of shirts, jackets, and hats. It was fantastic.
