Michael Henry of the Henry Real Estate Group and Keller Williams Greater Cleveland Southeast, is the first Northeast Ohio Real Estate Agent to join Giveback Homes, a trusted network of real estate professionals dedicated to creating social change through the process of buying and selling homes.
By virtue of his membership, Michael will donate a portion of each closed transaction toward building houses for families in need.
Giveback Homes is a real estate social responsibility program dedicated to supporting residential home building projects in the United States, Nicaragua, and Haiti. Through partnerships with reputable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Giveback Homes ensures that 100 percent of donations from members go directly towards building life-changing homes, not operating and administrative costs.
Prior to becoming the lead agent of the Henry Group, a real estate sales team serving clients in the Chagrin Valley area, Mike worked for thirteen years in the field of international relief and development. A graduate of Chagrin Falls High School and John Carroll University, Mike joined the Peace Corps upon the completion of his studies and completed his two years of service in Northeast Haiti working as a Small Business Advisor.
Mike went on to spend an additional 10 years working to alleviate poverty in Haiti end elsewhere around the world. He was in Haiti during the time of the earthquake that devastated the region on Jan. 12, 2010. Mike led rebuilding efforts with his former employer, Cross International, and supported local partners in the rebuilding of hundreds of homes and a number of schools throughout the country. He is excited about the opportunity to continue supporting that effort through Giveback Homes, and is hopeful that his involvement in the program will also lead to future local home building projects in the Northeast Ohio area.
