Michelle Knight Comes to Geauga County to Benefit WomenSafe

You’ve read the headlines and heard her story in the news. Now you can hear the courageous story of how Michelle Knight survived over ten years of captivity without having her spirit crushed.

Sunday, October 19, 2014, Michelle Knight is coming to the campus of Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin High School in Chardon for a fundraiser to benefit WomenSafe where WMJI radio personality Mark Nolan will moderate an open conversation about her ability to survive, forgive, and overcome darkness.

michelle-knightThe program will run from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Copies of her book “Finding Me: A Decade of Darkness, a Life Reclaimed” will be available for sale, and Ms. Knight will autograph her books for our guests. Established in February of 2007, Friends of WomenSafe is a volunteer driven group that raises money through a variety of special events including a Spring Luncheon, Wine Tasting, Amish Dinner, Summer Dance, Tickled Pink Craft Show, Christmas Tea and Theater Party. F.O.W. is comprises 80 participating members who make these events happen.
