Mighty Mystic and Reithoffer’s Rastafize Auburn

Mighty Mystic and the Hard Roots Movement, Dreadlock Dave, DJ Q & Fauhx are  rocking reggae July 22 from 5 – 10 p.m. in the area’s most eclectic venue, Reithoffer’s  Art, Spirits & Entertainment at 17711 Ravenna Rd.

Tickets are on sale for $25 at reithoffers.com, but will cost $30 on the day of the show.

Normandy Catering will be serving food at the event, and artisan vendors will be selling  their wares. Dreadlock Dave will start with his usual groovy jams as well as reggae, and  Mighty Mystic, a vibrant leader on the US reggae scene, will be headlining the show  with his band, the Hard Roots Movement, at 8 p.m.

Born Kevin Mark Holness in the farming community of Goshen, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica,  as a child, Mystic showed early interest in his native island’s music, often singing the  latest tunes by popular reggae artists. At the age of 10, Mystic and the family relocated  to Boston, MA in search of a new life, though oceans apart, Mystic never lost the  passion for his beloved reggae music.

Famous for his high energy performances with a blend of hip-hop and rock that stays  true to his Jamaican reggae roots, Mighty Mystic is looking forward to sharing his  passion with Auburn and the surrounding community.
