Looking for a Mother’s Day gift for a mom who loves BBC period dramas? Give her tickets to a Downton-Abbey-inspired tea planned for this fall at the Geauga County Historical Society’s Century Village Museum in Burton.
On September 27, Century Village Museum – a collection of historic buildings restored to represent an early Western Reserve settlement – will host a tea and fashion exhibition inspired by the popular BBC series Downton Abbey.
Tea and savories will be served in the Museum’s historic homes, which will be staged with artifacts from the era. The event also will include a presentation by Susan Powers of Ursuline College featuring fashions from the period represented in the series (late 1800s through early 1920s).
Tickets for the afternoon’s activities are $55. Period attire is encouraged.
