Join National Alliance on Mental Illness of Geauga County on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Notre Dame Education Center, 13000 Auburn Road, Chardon, to hear speakers Bethany Yeiser and her mother, Karen Yeiser, tell their story of the onset of schizophrenia spiraling to homelessness.
Bethany has written a book entitled Mind Estranged, depicting her struggles after leaving home for college. Karen has written a book entitled Flight From Reason, describing these years when they did not know if Bethany was even alive. The prospective of mother and daughter will help you better understand the effect mental illness has on both the ill and their families and friends.
