Believe it or not, Great Horned Owls begin nesting in January. Discover what Geauga County owls eat and feed their young by dissecting a real owl pellet, then head outside to see if any owls answer our call.
This Nature Forensics program, Owl Pellet Investigation, will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 13, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at The West Woods Nature Center, 9465 Kinsman Road (Rt. 87), Russell Twp.
Registration is required to attend. To register, or call 440-286-9516, which may also be called if you have questions. This program is designed for school age and up.
Please dress for the weather so we can head outside after the dissection. The West Woods Nature Center is fully wheelchair/stroller accessible; however, outdoor conditions may not be, depending on the trail and weather.
