The NDCL school community marked the culmination of Respect Life Month with prayer, learning, and action to celebrate the precious gift of life.
Led by Director of Campus Ministry Miss Halle McKeon and Director of Student Leadership Mr. Ben Lozar ’09, they focused on a different life issue each day, including abortion, the death penalty, human trafficking, and racism. NDCL’s video announcements featured statistics as well as references to Catholic social teaching as reflected in the documents of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
The week included the NDCL students’ participation in the Mass for Life at Saint John Cathedral as well as a special period of Eucharistic adoration in NDCL’s Annunciation Chapel.
NDCL linked their learning and prayer to practical action that promotes life by donating 20 baby carriers to Zelie’s Home, a community of support for mothers and their children.

IN MARY’S SPIRIT: Junior Madeline Kuhlman prays in Annunciation Chapel during a special time for Eucharistic adoration that was part of our celebration of NDCL’s Week for Life.
