NDCL Students Place in Annual Chardon Rotary Contest

Congratulations to NDCL senior Allison Kuhar (Concord) and junior Rorey Smith (Pepper Pike) who both placed at the Chardon Rotary’s Annual Speech Contest at the Bass Lake Inn on Monday, March 10, 2014.

Allison’s speech on the topic of hydrogen fuel cell cars for a greener planet earned her second place honors and a cash award. Rorey’s speech on the topic of refugees earned him third place honors and a cash award.

NDCL Performing Arts Department chairperson, Ms. Shirley Ivancic Stall, coached both Allison and Rorey for the competition.
