Mr. Dynes Speaks to 7th Graders
Mr. Brandon Dynes, a lawyer from Thrasher, Dinsmore & Dolan, and father of Brookelyn Dynes delivered a presentation to the 7th graders as a culmination of their class assignment of reading, To Kill a Mockingbird. Mr. Dynes opened with a few law jokes and then discussed The Scottsboro Trials of 1931-1937, which inspired Harper Lee to write her novel. Filled with curiosity, the 7th grade asked Mr. Dynes questions about courtroom proceedings, types of law degrees, judges and juries, charges for crimes, requirements to become a lawyer, and so many more. A unanimous decision of our 7th grade jury – Mr. Dynes was a big hit!

Second-Graders learn about the Liturgy and the Eucharist
The second-grade students participated in a presentation by Mrs. Kelleher on the structure of the Holy Mass. They worked on putting parts of the Mass in the correct order and learned the words “Liturgy” (the work of the people) and “Eucharist” (thanksgiving).
