Imagine you are an 11-year-old child and you are responsible for finding food to keep your family alive.
On Monday, March 16, Sol Factor, a professor of Jewish studies at Kent State University, presented information about the holocaust to the 6th grade students at Notre Dame Elementary School.
Factor discussed the roles and challenges children faced during the holocaust.
Factor is the child of a holocaust survivor and shared his personal story. As part of the English curriculum, students have been studying the holocaust through different pieces of literature such as the Number of the Stars and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.
