Competitive Cheer Team Takes First Place

On Saturday, November 19th, some members of the high school cheerleading squad traveled to the University of Pittsburgh to participate in Cheer Day at Heinz Field. Then on Sunday the 20th, members of the competitive cheer squad traveled to Massillon for a competition. The group took 1st place in the High School Small Squad Non-Tumbling Division. Members of the team include Ashley R., Lacey P., Sarah S., Sarah H., Terryan M., Katlyn L., Erika E., and Maddie S. Congratulations ladies!

Kiwanis Gives the Gift of Reading

On Monday, November 21st, the East Geauga Kiwanis Club gave every 3rd grader at CIS a paperback book in an effort to help emphasize the importance of reading. The Kiwanis members brought the books to the gym and then allowed the students to pick out whichever one they wanted to take home. Thank you Kiwanis for all you do to support our students and our District!

Outstanding Students Recognized

Recently the East Geauga Kiwanis Club gave recognition to third graders from Cardinal Intermediate School for being outstanding students as chosen by their teacher. The first quarter outstanding students are: Alyssa D., Elisabeth M., Maggie G., Sypher D., Dakota G., Evan E., Blake S. and Riley H. They all received a certificate and four books. Congratulations students, keep up the great work, a new group will be recognized at the end of the second quarter in January!
