Oak and Embers Tavern, located at 8003 Mayfield Road in Chesterland, Ohio, will be featured in a new Food Network television series hosted by Iron Chef Michael Symon called “Burgers, Brew & Q.”

Filming at Oak and Embers will take place in the upcoming days. “It is a real honor for Oak and Embers to be selected to appear in this new show and it is a testament to all our hard work and devotion to creating a fabulous smokehouse barbecue tavern,” said Oak and Embers proprietor Gretchen Garofoli. “While we would love to share this moment with the entire community, in order to avoid creating a hectic situation, the exact date and time of the taping will not be announced. We invite everyone to join us anytime: We open at 11 a.m. every day.”

About Oak and Embers Tavern: Take a long sip of fine Kentucky bourbon and let the smoke house aroma of slow cooked barbecue transport you south of the Mason Dixon. Oak & Embers proprietors, Marc and Gretchen Garofoli, spent years researching southern cuisine to offer you this experience. Their many trips to the Carolinas, Georgia and Kentucky have brought to life an idea born from their love for great barbeque. The Oak & Embers menu offers homemade selections prepared from scratch. Great care goes into the preparation of each entrée. Brisket, pork, ribs and chicken are hickory-smoked for hours to heighten flavor and texture – pink, tender meat is proof of this process. Lighter fare options include salads and flatbreads prepared with unique taste combinations to offer an escape from the mundane.

Each entree and side dish is cooked to order from recipes created from years of tasty research. Oak and Embers’ unique sauces, rubs and dressings are original and thoughtfully combined to complement each featured entrée. Enjoy the full-service bar stocked with craft beers and handpicked bourbons as well as some local favorites or switch it up with one of the specialty drinks that are nothing less than exceptional. Whatever your desire, you are invited to slow down, relax and enjoy the Oak & Embers southern dining experience that we are so proud to share with you.
