Ohio comes alive in the summertime. Everything is lush and green, there are flowers everywhere, and the sky never looked so blue. There are so many things that you can do in the summer, and you have all of the time in the world to do them. But, there are some things that just make summers in Ohio special. Visit Lake Erie
Lake Erie is one of the Great Lakes, and it’s the fourth largest at that. It’s quite possibly one of the most beautiful things about Northeastern Ohio. The lake comes with a lot of opportunities for fun this summer as well. There are countless attractions right by Lake Erie, all of which are unique to Ohio. So, whether you’re going sailing out on the lake, hanging out by the docks, or going swimming at the beach, Lake Erie is full of fun things for you and your family to enjoy.
Go on a Camping Trip
Ohio is famous for its nature and scenery. You’d be hard-pressed to find anything more beautiful than Ohio in the summertime. So, take your family on a weekend camping trip to reconnect with and enjoy nature. You and your family can have fun with campfires and s’mores, hiking, photography opportunities and any sport that you can imagine. Go To Cleveland
Cleveland is the capital of Northeastern Ohio. You can’t go to Ohio without going to Cleveland, it’s just not right. A lot of people who live in Ohio often forget just how much history and beauty the city of Cleveland has. You don’t even have to spend any money – just take a stroll through Coventry and Little Italy in University Circle, or go walking through the Playhouse Square district in downtown Cleveland.
The Drive-In
Drive-in Movie Theatres are a dying breed. Luckily enough, Northeastern Ohio has two drive-ins right in our backyard! The Mayfield Road Drive-in Theatre in Chardon, Ohio, is more than a fair enough bang for your buck. For twenty dollars per car, you get two family-friendly movies that change up every week. The Midway Twin Drive-in, located in Ravenna, gives you a choice of 2 screens, each playing double features. Whichever one you go to, going to the drive-in is a unique and fun experience for your family to enjoy.
