Those with horses are invited to a unique horseback activity designed to unify and educate trail users – but register soon online at www.geaugaparkdistrict.org or by phone at 440-226-4695 or 440-226-4636, since space is already extremely limited.
On Saturday, August 28, Geauga Park District’s annual Trail Horse Nature Challenge returns from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The West Woods, featuring a 1- to 2-hour challenge course with natural trail obstacles and Nature trivia, plus awards and certificates in youth and adult divisions.
Participants will be assigned departure times upon arrival in order of registration, and will ride out individually or in pairs at a leisurely pace, as time is not a factor in this event. Riders may also choose to continue park exploration independently once they have completed the course.
Helmets are recommended for the challenge activities, and please bring a shovel to clean up after your horse in the parking lot. With questions, feel free to call in advance.
