Printing system allows patrons to print from their phones, tables and laptops.
Geauga County – May 23, 2016 – Geauga County Public Library is making it simple for patrons to print their work in any application directly from their own phones, tablets and laptops. This upgrade is an extension of the WiFi counting system that was implemented earlier this year.
The process is simple. Patrons need to login to the system to gain access to WiFi as normal. When printing is desired, patrons may simply click “Print” and follow the prompts. Detailed instructions are available online and at all GCPL locations. Normal printing fees apply. Black-and-white prints cost ten cents per sheet; color prints cost twenty-five cents per sheet.
Printing from library computers remains simple. Patrons click “Print” and follow the prompts.
The main difference with the new system is that once patrons have completed the dialog box prompts, they will need to go to the Print Release Station and login with library card number and PINS. They will see a list of documents in their print queue, from which they may select the ones they want to print. They can insert their money into the coin box and print as normal.
