We are the folks responsible for distributing the signs that say “Take Back the Parks.”
We LOVE our parks and want to be certain that they flourish forever. We are a large and growing group of concerned citizens who understand:
- The intrinsic value of our county parks lies in the natural systems they protect and the love of nature they foster.
- Our parks are treasures, a legacy to pass down to our children and many generations to come.
- The parks were created for the preservation and conservation of fast- disappearing natural areas.
- Conservation of these natural areas is vital to the health and well-being of the entire county.
- Connection is important when it fosters a deeper understanding and respect for the natural world, which is essential for our survival.
We believe that common sense standards should be used for all decisions regarding the use of park land.
Changes and additions should be done with careful consideration and complete transparency by a thoughtful and qualified park board.
