Camping out in Geauga Park District promises quality down time with friends and family, plus a chance to discover (or rediscover) the beautiful natural resources in four different Geauga parks – and the price is right, just $5 a night for county residents or $10 a night for out of county residents!
Big Creek Park, Headwaters Park and Chickagami Park all offer clean, well maintained, reservable campsites in scenic locations. These include lean-tos, each with a fireplace in the chimney, which can accommodate up to five people, and tent pads, which provide comfortable, well-drained surfaces for tents.
The West Woods also contains two tent pads in primitive, off-the-beaten-trail locations.
“Your Geauga Park District has 31 primitive campsites to choose from,” said Geauga Park District Executive Director John Oros. “Ranging from our long-time campsites at Big Creek Park, to our more recent additions at Headwaters Park and Chickagami Park, to our two newest backpacking sites at The West Woods, there is truly something for everyone.
“We invite you to get out and experience the sights and sounds of Nature at one of our campsites!”
