Bring the whole family for a memorable experience at fishing holes freshly stocked this year, hosted by Geauga Park District’s Natural Resource Management Department.
Two Family Fishing Expo events are scheduled this summer for families with kids of all ages: one Saturday, Sept. 12, at Swine Creek Reservation in Middlefield Township; another Saturday, Sept. 19, at Big Creek Park in Chardon Township. Both are from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and registration is required online or by phone at 440-286-9516.
Participants will enjoy brief instruction in the basics of fishing equipment, knot tying and fish identification, followed by a morning of fishing with the help of experienced anglers.
Equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Fishing holes are partially wheelchair/stroller accessible. Please call 440-286-9516 with questions.
