Remembrance Quilt a Success

The Chardon Square Association is pleased to announce the successful raffle of the Remembrance Quilt. Helen Lockhart, who is a longtime honorary member of the Chardon Square Association, not only designed the quilt but also made it as a way to signify the strength of our community after the events of February 27. The Chardon Square Association would like to thank Helen for her unique quilt.

Remembrance QuiltThe one of a kind quilt was raffled during this year’s Art Festival, Farmers Market, and other Chardon Square Association events. The quilt was awarded to one lucky winner at this year’s Chardon Square Association Annual Clambake. The proceeds from the raffle will be held for the eventual donation to a memorial yet to be built to remember the people and events of February 27 and how our community came together with one heart.

“The Remembrance Quilt donated by Helen Lockhart was truly a nice gesture that represented the strength of our community,” said Tom Bryant, Chardon Square Association President. “I have not seen such a wonderful artistic quilt for some time.”
