Four unique ensembles pack exciting summer amphitheater series
There’s nothing like sitting outside in beautiful weather and listening to live music, particularly in a natural setting. Four very different acts fill the schedule for this year’s return of the amphitheater series at Big Creek Park in Chardon Township.
Jim Miller & Steve Scheff will be playing this Saturday, July 14 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy a performance featuring traditional American roots/classic rock by two members of the well-known Jim Miller jam band.
“Sounds of Elvis” with Jim Felix will take the stage on Saturday, July 28 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Listen to some of The King’s best selections performed by Jim Felix, an Elvis tribute artist, who strives to keep Elvis’s music and memory alive for future generations to enjoy. A fun-filled show with lots of audience participation!
“Fractured Fairy Tales” by Geauga Lyric Theater Guild will be presented Saturday, August 11 from 7 to 8 p.m. Treat yourself to a sampling of “not-so-typical” fairy tales during a night of fun and fantasy.
Joey Tomsick Orchestra will be in concert on Saturday, August 25 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. If you’re a polka lover, this “Polka Band of the Year” marks its 28th year of entertaining audiences nationwide and brings its exciting sound to Geauga County. This four-piece group was organized in 1984 by Joey, and has since become one of America’s most popularly active all-occasion bands, performing a wide range of music for all types of audiences!
Big Creek Park is located at 9160 Robinson Road in Chardon Township. Refreshments will be served, and shows will move indoors on site in the event of inclement weather.
