Santa is Coming to Town

Chardon Square lightingThe Chardon Square Association is pleased to announce the start of holiday celebrations with the annual Christmas Lighting on the Square and the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus. The Chardon Square Association would like to thank the city of Chardon for helping to decorate the Square.

The Christmas Lighting will take place on November 29, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the Square. The evening will begin with a chili dinner that will be offered at the Pilgrim Christian Church from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Then at 6:30 p.m. at the Bandstand the lighting ceremony will begin with music provided by the Geauga Music Center and caroling by the Chardon High School Free Harmony. In addition, there will be free cider and cookies provided by the Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce. At 7:00 p.m. the Square will be lit, and Santa will arrive from the North Pole by horse drawn sleigh. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available in the log cabin for kids to talk to about their Christmas wishes.

“Every year hundreds of local residents turn out for the traditional Christmas Lighting on the Square,” said Tom Bryant, Chardon Square Association President. “The Christmas Lighting and arrival of Santa are a great way for the family to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season.”
