Send the Kids to Both Camps and Save

Geauga Park District offers half-off promotion for adventure, space summer day camps

Geauga Park District wants your child to experience both Adventure and Space camps this summer, and has started a promotion with that goal in mind. Now, when you buy a child a spot in one of the two new summer day camps, you’ll get half off the cost of admission for the same child in the other camp, a $75 value.

Registration for both camps is now open by contacting Denise Wolfe at 440-279-0894, but space is limited so parents and guardians are encouraged to act fast.

Age groups of 10 to 12 and 13 to 15 will trade between adventure and space themes each week from early June through early August, excluding the week of July 4th. A registration fee of $150 per camp, with the exception of the half-off promotion, will cover the cost of all activities, travel, and equipment associated with each experience.

Details on each camp, as well as summer camp calendars and waiver forms, can be found at this website.

For additional savings, Geauga County Job and Family Services is accepting applications for its 2013 summer camp and enrichment program, which provides low-income children in Geauga County with an opportunity to enjoy this experience. Funded solely through donations, last year more than 150 children were matched with a meaningful summer program or activity.

Foster children in the agency’s custody receive first priority; children who live with their family and are receiving social services, and children whose families are struggling financially, are also considered. For details on Geauga County JFS’s program, call Sara Shininger at 440-285-9141.

Geauga Park District and the Geauga Park District Foundation are grateful to Friends of CASA for KIDS of Geauga County for its chief sponsorship of the inaugural year of camps.
