Shop, Shop, Shop Until You Drop!

Tis the season for shopping, and if you’re looking for that special, one of a kind, unique gift, have we got some suggestions for you!

First, remember to keep checking Geauga News for all the wonderful holiday events occurring right here in Geauga County. There are some wonderful businesses participating in the 8th Annual Christmas in the Country Tour, and everyone is invited to Farmhouse Keepsakes Annual Christmas Open House.

Second, check out the local Christmas craft shows that we advertise on Geauga News and on Geauga County Tourism. Did you happen to get to the Christmas Extravaganza held this past Saturday and Sunday at the Huntsburg Community Center? If not, plan on attending Red Maple Inn’s Holiday Country Fair being held Saturday November 30 and Sunday December 1 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Some of the crafters and consultants from the Christmas Extravaganza will be attending the Holiday Country Fair, and they are worth checking out!

This past weekend I attended the Christmas Extravaganza with a friend and was amazed at the variety of vendors attending. Some of my many favorites were in attendance, and it is always nice to see their familiar faces; Mantua Soaps, Two Cheeky Cats, Thirty-One, Scentsy, Tastefully Simple, Origami Owl, and Celebrating Home.

With over 45 craft, food, and consultant booths attending the Extravaganza, I found plenty of items to purchase for gifts. I thoroughly enjoy meeting the new ones, along with seeing my favorites. One new business that I was very impressed with is Bege’s Baked Goods located in Leavittsburg, Ohio. Their specialty is cookies, cupcakes, and more. Owner Theresa Hineman really knows how to put the taste in her cookies and bakery. I purchased her frosted, decorated sugar cookies and buckeyes for a great price of 6/$2.50 and I wish I had purchased more. They were the best cookie I have ever tasted! I am not sure what she puts in those cookies, but I fell in love with each bite! Check out Bege’s Baked Goods on Facebook. I already liked them. Please do the same and this way you can purchase bakery or see what event they will attend next.

If bling and blitz is what you’re looking for in a gift, or if you are looking to purchase a little jewelry for yourself, my personal favorite is Traci Lynn Jewelry. They might be just what you’re looking for as well. Traci Lynn Jewelry has just what you need for work, pleasure, or a night out on the town with their different styles and show pieces to choose from, all at affordable pricing. Deborah Henry is the consultant to see and you can contact her at her website or email Deborah at silverfox_dh@yahoo.com. I guarantee you will have found a great consultant when you purchase through Deborah and a great friend too, just as I did.

What goes great with bling and blitz? Your healthy skin! Have you heard of Arbonne? If you haven’t, I suggest giving mother/daughter consultants Jessica Coe and Mona Shirk a call to set up a one on one consultation. You can also gather your friends to learn about Arbonne together and experience what their botanically based products can do for you at an in home show while you earn some great free products for yourself. You can contact them at jkatcoe@gmail.com or online, or give them a call at 440-739-0289.

Kayvannah Boutique & Charm of Your Life just might be your school’s next fundraising go to business. Nancy Kellogg and Kelsey Cole have the most interchangeable charm necklaces and barrettes I have ever seen. I talked in depth with them and found their personal handmade charms great for having a school mascot imprinted on them. There are not just for wearing around your neck, but for cheerleader’s shoes too. These ladies are willing to do what you need to personalize a unique one of a kind fundraiser together. Check them out on Facebook. Email at Kellogg26@hotmail.com or phone Nancy at 440-224-1525 or Kelsey at 440-969-3090. Remember to like them on Facebook and leave a message when you visit their page.

With all the gifts we like to purchase, one gift stands the test of time; a family portrait. What a wonderful surprise it is to open the gift of a personalized portrait of your children, grandchildren, pets, parents, or grandparents. Kingdom’s Gate Photography, LLC is based in Middlefield, Ohio and Sarah Szabo is the on-location photographer who offers services for all your needs. Sarah offers both outdoor and indoor studio options, bringing the studio to you! Sarah also specializes in green screen photography (digital manipulation). Serving Geauga and surrounding counties, with hours by appointment only, give Sarah a call at 440-479-1523 to schedule, or visit her online.
