The Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District invites you to attend Soil Health through the Seasons: How to Naturally Nourish Your Lawn on Saturday, March 14, 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Geauga West Library, 13455 Chillicothe Road (S.R. 306), Chesterland, Ohio 44026.
This unique workshop offers the essential steps for starting a natural lawn care system in your own yard. Resource professionals from Good Nature Organic Lawn Care will guide us through practices that build organic matter, improve soil health and create a low-maintenance, chemical-free lawn!
Topics to be covered include soil health, grass type, aeration, watering, proper mowing, over seeding, and controlling weeds and pests, to name a few. Participants will also receive a soil testing kit and helpful resources! While this workshop is FREE and all are welcome, registration is required. The registration deadline is March 11. For more information or to register, please contact Gail Prunty at 440-834-1122 or visit the Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District website.
This program is part of the “Storm Water, Phase II, and You!” education series with support provided by the Healthy Soils Initiative through ODNR Division of Soil and Water Resources.
