
The U.S. Army Special Operations Command Parachute Demonstration Team, the Black Daggers, will demonstrate free fall parachuting during the Cardinal High School homecoming football game on Sept. 25, in Middlefield, Ohio.
The team is comprised of volunteers from throughout the Army special operation forces community. They have diverse backgrounds and represent various Army SOF elements including Rangers, Special Forces, support and signal, psychological operations and civil affairs.
Master Sgt. John Perusek, a Special Forces operations sergeant, will jump in with the game ball during opening ceremonies. Perusek, an alumnus of Cardinal High School, is one of two sets of brothers returning to their Alma Mater for the homecoming festivities. Each serve or have served in the U.S. Army, three of whom served in special operations.
Perusek will be joined by brothers Jeff and John Wellington for the celebration. Jeff Wellington is a Purple Heart recipient, and Bronze Star with Valor recipient and is currently serving with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment as a helicopter pilot.
The Black Daggers will also jump on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 3:30PM at Kent State University in Kent and on Sunday, Sept. 27 during the half-time as the Cleveland Browns face off against the Oakland Raiders in Cleveland.
