Spots Still Available for Youths at Geauga Park District’s Outdoor Adventure Camps!

With summer officially upon us now, there’s no better time to sign the kids up to make some lasting Nature memories with friends!

Geauga Park District’s Summer Camps still have limited availability for youth entering grades 5 through 7 the weeks of July 16th, July 30th and August 6th, and for teens entering grades 8 through 10 on July 2nd, 5th and 6th during X-TREME Days and the week of July 23rd.

Week-long campers experience kayaking, biking, fishing, stream exploration, rockets and much more; older campers also climb the new Claridon Woodlands high ropes course. X-TREME Days campers then focus on kayaking on July 2nd and 5th and high ropes on July 6th.

“New locations for camp activities also include kayaking at Bass Lake Preserve,” said Naturalist Karie Wheaton. “First day ‘Survivor-like’ activities will include a fire building challenge, a ring retrieval challenge and a scavenger hunt.”

Positive reviews are already rolling in from this year’s day camp adventurers. “This program was phenomenal! Our son had a wonderful time, and we can’t wait to go back as a family so he can show us what he learned,” said one. “My daughter and her friends learned a lot about Nature and were enthused to go every day, even on days the agenda sounded boring – she was surprised how much fun and educational it was!” said another.

Campers pay $30 for X-TREME Days and $150 for week-long camp. Learn more and sign up today on Geauga Park District’s new website or .
