St. Helen School – Early discoveries!

The kindergarten and first grade from St. Helen School enjoyed a visit to the Indian Museum of Lake County early November.  They were welcomed by museum director, Ann Dewald. During the visit the students learned about the last group of Native Americans that lived in the area before the arrival of the early Europeans. While there, the students did a scavenger hunt, listened to stories and did hands-on activities like, grinding corn and interacting with a senses board while learning about the Native American culture.
