The tradition of service and character remains strong in the Girl Scout Law and is alive and well in St. Mary School Daisy Troop. Flowers are blooming as each girl earns the honor to color in a new petal for completing service with their troop.
So far this year the St. Mary Daisies have earned petals for being considerate and caring, responsible for what they say and do, using resources wisely, and making the world a better place.
Kindergarten student member Angelina Colombi said, “We have made cards for people in the hospital and got garbage stuff and turned in into something new.”
The St. Mary Daisies are made up of 13 Kindergarten and 7 first grade girls and lead by parents Regina Colombi and Crystal Beuck.
Last week leaders passed out Daisy pins at their Investiture Ceremony where each girl promised to serve God and their country, to be helpful to others and to try to be the best persons they can be by following the Girl Scout Law.
Currently, the Daisy troop is working had and having fun selling cookies. Their next adventure will be participating in the World Friendship Carnival in March.
