Stop Wishing For Pain-Free Living; Make It A Reality!

In a perfect world, we would each have a lifestyle that catered to optimal health. We would make wise food choices and have the right amount of time available to engage in the type of exercise we love and to the degree that benefited us most. We would have only ‘good’ stress that actually produces desired results. We would have careers that allowed the perfect balance between sitting, standing, stretching, lifting, both indoors and out; one that would provide personal challenge and fulfillment ….oh how happy we would be!

But we don’t.

And we suffer from a number of pains.

Many turn to medication for help; others just live with them. And yet, right here in Middlefiled, Ohio, tucked away inside a cozy little corner of our rural community, many have discovered a place where they have been restored to those pain-free days and now wake up each morning excited, energized, and ready to welcome whatever joys and challenges await the day.

“I believe everyone deserves to feel good. Living pain-free and being able to manage your stress enables you to live life functioning at your peak performance. We’ve all tried to get through a day with a headache, stiff neck, low back pain, or feeling overwhelmed. It zaps your energy; you aren’t fully engaged. Take the focus off your pain and stress by managing it with Therapeutic Massage.

You not only deserve it; you NEED it. Live each day with gusto!” ~ Becky S. Peterson, LMT

Becky is a Licensed Massage Therapist. She helps clients feel better through the use of therapeutic and relaxation massage techniques. If you’re experiencing some of those symptoms mentioned above a little too often and with greater intensity, perhaps your body is telling you something, “Hey, don’t you think it’s time to visit Becky!”

These benefits of therapeutic massage could be yours:

  • Relief of muscle tension and pain
  • Improved range of motion
  • Increased joint flexibility
  • Strengthened immune system

“I customize every massage based on my client’s needs,” says Becky. “I treat holistically in order to get to the source of the issue. Education and training have given me knowledge, but the experience I have gained in working with clients for over ten years has given me a better understanding of how our bodies function, what muscles are involved and how to restore balance.”

John G. from Middlefield testifies to Becky’s expertise:

“I run almost every day of the week and it can take a toll on the body. My wife urged me to see Becky for the aches and pains. Very quickly, I knew that she was helping my muscles to relax and recover. Becky is very instinctive about finding the root of the problem, and it’s because of that I continue to see her as a way of taking care of myself.”

Becky uses NeuroMuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, OrthoBionomy, and Swedish massage when treating clients.

    1. NeuroMuscular Therapy addresses the nerve and muscular junction to relieve tension.
    2. Myofascial Release relaxes the connective tissue in the body which supports and protects muscle.
    3. OrthoBionomy is a modality in which the muscle is passively shortened making it easier to encourage relaxation.
    4. Deep Tissue techniques are used to work muscles at a deeper level.
    5. Swedish Massage is for those who need to relax and reduce your stress level. This type of massage brings a sense of calm to the mind and body.

Head massage

Experts estimate that around ninety percent of disease is stress-related. And perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high or ongoing stress. Swedish Massage is an effective tool for managing this stress. By incorporating this type of massage into your wellness plan, you are making a choice to be preventative in your healthcare. Benefits of relaxation massage include:

  • Decreased anxiety
  • Enhanced sleep quality
  • Improved concentration
  • Greater energy
  • Increased circulation
  • Reduced fatigue
  • Strengthened immune system

Becky has been practicing massage therapy since 2002.
Her massage training has included:

  • Licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio in February, 2003
  • Member of ABMP (Associated Bodyworkers and Massage Practitioners) since 2003.

Becky is also a member of the Red Key Network in Geauga County, a professional women’s group, and enjoys volunteering as a Massage Therapist at The Gathering Place in Beachwood, an organization that helps those faced with cancer and the people who support them. She has volunteered at The Senior Center in Middlefield as well.

“We live in a fast-paced, high-stress world. Everyone is overworked and everything is needed yesterday,” Becky shares. “Therapeutic Massage on a regular basis can take the focus off your pain and stress enabling you to function at a more optimal level. Therapeutic Massage will allow you to get more accomplished and feel good while doing it!”

Investing in massage is an investment in your health!
