Robin in postOn Tuesday evening, Jan. 19, the GANG (Geauga Arts Network Group) program will feature award-winning storyteller Robin Echols Cooper. Host for the evening will be musician, Nicky Bucur. This educational program, which is free and open to the general public, will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Heinen’s Cafe, 402 Center Street in Chardon. No reservations are necessary.

Cooper develops and enacts her original works with the goal of inspiring children to read, reach, imagine and create. Her work combines creative writing, storytelling, drama and puppetry.

As a strong advocate for literacy, her performances have inspired thousands of children in schools, libraries, hospitals and community organizations throughout Ohio. She also shares her skills through a variety of venues, training educators to bring more creative methods into their classrooms.

Cooper’s work has been honored by the Young Audience Sunshine Award, the Teacher of Teachers Award from the Ohio chapter of AEYC (Association for the Education of Young Children) and other Ohio organizations.

The Geauga Arts Network Group is an ad hoc group whose mission is to promote communication, collaboration, and cooperation across artistic disciplines for artists living and/or working in Geauga County. For further information, contact Joanne Durante, 440-729-6481.
