Stretch your Legs Day and Night with a Geauga Park District Naturalist and some Late Winter Hiking

Let’s move it, move it, people! Two great hikes are coming up on Saturday, March 2nd – no registration required.

Burn off some extra winter calories during a fitness hike turned up a notch during Nature Trek Hearty Hike from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Swine Creek Reservation. Naturalist Trevor Wearstler will lead this hike of nearly all the trails – around 6.5 miles with hills, rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and bring water and a snack.

Or how about an evening hike? Maybe you’ll even choose to enjoy a day-night combo! During the more family-friendly Winter Campfire & Night Hike, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sunnybrook Preserve, we’ll gather around a blazing outdoor campfire with hot chocolate for a story or two, then journey into the darkness to experience the curious world of Nature at night.

Swine Creek Reservation is located at 16004 Hayes Road in Middlefield; Sunnybrook Preserve is located at 12474 Heath Road in Chesterland. Please call ahead with questions.
