Band manager Shirley Hamilton reports, “As we enter our 75th year, the Geauga Fair Band has launched a wonderful new website along with a new Facebook page which allow us to share photos and information with our fans in a more timely way. With an ever-expanding repertory that keeps up with the changing times, and musicians ranging in age from 15 to 90, the Band has a really unique culture with families and friends playing together as a professional ensemble that is second to none in its class.”
This season’s band rehearsals begin on Tuesday, March 19, with rehearsals held weekly from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. every Tuesday in the Burton High School Band Room (with the exception of an Easter break on April 2). Interested musicians age 15 and over, at any skill level and in all sections, are invited to visit any open rehearsal with their instruments to join in the fun and to see whether the Band is a good fit for their skills and schedules.
