The 8th graders took a break from books and set out on the process of learning how to sew in Religion & Health. “Ora et labora” is a phrase we learned earlier in the year – work and pray – our work can be prayer if we are intentional in what we do and how we do it. As a class, students decided to sew pillows with hearts on them to give to our Sisters of Notre Dame.
These pillows were made to remind the Sisters that we think about them often and are “united in love”. As they worked, they prayed for all of the Sisters of Notre Dame. Students wrote letters to share a little about themselves and to ask the Sisters some questions about their lives. In response, some of the sisters have written back to students. It is nice to stay connected even in these times of separation during the pandemic.
