Observatory Park to be open all night for annual meteor shower
Make it a tradition and spend the night in your Observatory Park for the annual Perseids Meteor Shower.
What: Meteor Shower Event
When: Tuesday, August 12, to Wednesday, August 13 – 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Where: Observatory Park
Best viewing should be from 1 to 3 a.m., so dress warmly; pack some bug spray, something warm to drink, a reclining lawn chair and some blankets; and head out to Ohio’s only International Dark Sky Park to lay back and enjoy the show.
There will be no formal program, but a naturalist and other astronomers will be on hand to answer questions and point out other interesting objects in the summer sky.
