The Geauga Arts Network Group (GANG) is pleased to welcome Cindy Ceroky to its May meeting. She will be discussing her artistic journey and presenting examples of her work. This program, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Tuesday, May 21st, at the Heinen’s Cafe at 402 Center Street in Chardon, Ohio from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Audience participation is welcome.

Ceroky forms her creations using mixed media, particularly vintage papers, fabrics, and ephemeral media. She favors working on a wood canvas because it is durable and can withstand the extra weight required by her compositions. Having grown up in the heart of olde Westerville in Delaware County, her creative curiosities were encouraged by the nostalgic town history, and the yearly Westerville Arts and Music Festival. Nowadays she draws a similar inspiration from the small Geauga County town in which she lives. She has exhibited in numerous local art shows and galleries, as well as the Great Geauga County Fair. She recently participated in the discARTed Recycled Art Exhibition at the the West Woods Nature Center in Russell Township. She has also taught art classes from her home.

The Geauga Arts Network Group is an ad hoc group whose mission is to promote communication, collaboration, and cooperation across all artistic disciplines, for artists living and/or working in Geauga County and surrounding communities. For further information, contact Nicky Bucur at 216-240-1501.
