Geauga Lyric Theater will be winding up the summer workshop performances with The Secret Garden this Thursday and Friday, August 9 & 10 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 11 at 2 p.m.

This much-loved story, based on the children’s book by Frances Hodgson Burnett, focuses on the story of an orphaned, pampered British girl raised in India and returned to an unfamiliar home in England. Through the discovery of a magical hidden garden, she learns how to overcome her selfishness, make friends, and change in ways she never thought of before.

This second Elementary Drama workshop of the summer is directed by veteran teacher and director Patricia Osredkar. She and the children have greatly enjoyed their summer time spent rehearsing and practicing and are looking forward to sharing the results of their labor of love!

The Geauga Theater Box Office is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 11 a.m – 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Open Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or by phone at 440-286-2255. Tickets for the youth performances are $8.00 adults and $5.00 for students/seniors. The Geauga Theater is located at 101 Water St. on the historic Chardon Square.
