Have you heard? Burton has a brand new restaurant. Located in the old Belle’s location, The Smith has been under construction for the past nine months. Once you walk inside you’ll see what they’ve been up to and why it’s been worth the wait.
The interior has been completely redone and the back room has been closed off for the time being so they can focus on the front two rooms. Compared to past occupants of the space, The Smith has achieved an open, warm, and friendly atmosphere that diners of all ages will be able to enjoy. Natural wood ceilings, black walnut table tops and bar top that were created from trees that were being cut down during a road widening project in Cleveland, and the tile flooring come together in a warm and welcoming manner.
The menu boasts of offering Carolina-Style Barbecue and Homegrown Hospitality, and it truly delivers on both. When you walk through the door you’re certain to be created by a warm and familiar face. The service and food was exactly what I hoped for and there are both areas for sit down dining and a large bar where you can stop in for a quick drink or bite to eat.
