How to Make Your Own Homemade Ice Cream (Continued)
Step #4: Now that you’ve combined your two bags into one, it’s time to shake it! Shake the large plastic bag filled with ice and watch what happens to your bag of cream. The milky mixture will harden and turn into ice cream!
Step #5: Keep shaking until the ice cream mixture reaches your desired consistency. The longer you shake, the more firm your final product. We recommend you shake it for at least 10 minutes.
Step #6: Carefully open the large bag of ice cubes and remove your small bag of ice cream. Dispose of the ice cubes. Open your small bag of ice cream, put the ice cream inside a bowl or a cup and enjoy with your favorite toppings!
Optional Steps: For a harder texture ice cream, finish shaking the bags, then put the small bag of milky mixture in the freezer for 30 minutes. Want to add some chocolate to the mix? Substitute your vanilla extract with cocoa powder.
