The Geauga Lyric Theater Guild is ready to entertain you with a summer filled with great shows for the whole family. Students of all ages are preparing to light up the stage for family and friends.
The summer season will open with the teen performance of Grease: School Version. This fabulous musical tells the classic story of love and friendship with the help of the Pink Ladies and the Burger Palace Boys. Show dates are July 17, 18 and 19 at 7:30 pm and July 19 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are on sale now and cost $10.
The youngest performers, aged four to seven in the junior workshops, will delight with two performances. Thumbelina will be performed July 26 at 10:30 am. and The Shoemaker and the Elves will be performed July 28 at 10:30 am. Both junior workshop shows are complementary.
The elementary workshops will share classic tales. No Strings Attached is a musical adaptation of Pinocchio and will be onstage July 24 and 25 at 7:30 pm and July 26 at 2:00 pm. The dramatic offering Jungle Book, adapted from the “Mowgli” Stories by Rudyard Kipling, will allow you to travel to an imaginary jungle and will be performed July 31 and August 1 at 7:30 pm and August 2 at 2:00 pm.
The Neverending Story will be performed by ages ten to fourteen on August 14 and 15 at 7:30 pm and August 16 at 2:00 pm. Delve into a magical world told through a very curious book.
Tickets for the elementary and tween performances are $6.
