United Way of Greater Cleveland’s President and CEO Augie Napoli to Serve in Leadership Role at United Way Services of Geauga County

United Way of Greater Cleveland today announced Augie Napoli to lead United Way Services of Geauga County, a position previously held by Kimm Leininger who served as executive director for the organization. “Geauga County has been a vital part of United Way of Greater Cleveland’s regional footprint since 1963,” said Napoli. “The leadership team at United Way of Greater Cleveland is fully committed to helping advance the work of the team at United Way Services of Geauga County and the United Way Advisory Board of Geauga County to address the significant needs facing our Geauga County neighbors in the most meaningful and impactful ways possible.”

Napoli, president and CEO of United Way of Greater Cleveland, and his executive team will work closely with United Way Services of Geauga County to provide comprehensive support and solutions for the organization’s Geauga County neighbors in need. “Augie and I commend the team at United Way Services of Geauga County, and our Civic and Corporate leaders, for their dedication and leadership in laying a strong foundation to address the most pressing needs facing our Geauga County neighbors,” said, Mary Ann Stropkay, board chair of United Way Services of Geauga County. Napoli added: “United Way Services of Geauga County is a key partner of United Way of Greater Cleveland. During this interim period, we will optimize our collective United Way resources in Geauga County for Geauga County.”

Founded in 1913, United Way of Greater Cleveland is a local, independent nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting poverty in the Greater Cleveland area. The largest private-sector investor of health and human services, United Way directs $31,000,000 into efforts that address poverty with a two-pronged approach. The first prong is a focus on the daily issues of those living in poverty and the other is innovate with community partners to find long-term solutions to break the cycle of poverty.
