Updates from Your Foundation for Geauga Parks

Indeed springtime is most welcome this year! While the social climate continues to surprise, the natural world continues to awe. Regardless of the daily news, hope does spring forward with each new emerging wildflower, opening leaf, and hatching egg.

Life will continue to be a little different in 2020, but we rest in the consistencies in nature. We at the Foundation are with you, as together we discover new ways to navigate.

Like so many nonprofits, the Foundation Board of Trustees has had to make some difficult decisions regarding events and activities. We ask you to adapt with us. Following are a few updates to keep you informed.

Stay healthy and stay close to nature,

Twilight Soiree CANCELED

The Foundation for Geauga Parks Board of Trustees, out of an abundance of caution for the well-being of our supporters and friends, has made the very difficult decision to cancel our signature fundraising event, Twilight Soiree, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Veterans Legacy Woods in Newbury Township.

Although we have deferred our single annual fundraising event this year, we remain fully committed to funding conservation and nature education programs which benefit so many of our residents.

In lieu of purchasing event tickets, please consider making an unrestricted gift to the Foundation for Geauga Parks at this link.

All proceeds support the mission of the Foundation to fund community engagement with nature through education, preservation, conservation, and appreciation of the unique natural character of Geauga County.

We look forward to celebrating the natural world together with you at Twilight Soiree 2021.STAY WELL!
