Lake Metroparks Farmpark in Kirtland will be the site of the 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, September 10th. Activities and registration begins at 8 am at the Farmpark, located at 8800 Euclid Chardon Road, and the Walk kicks off immediately after a brief 10:00 a.m. meaningful tribute ceremony honoring those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. The Alzheimer’s Association® is inviting local residents and businesses to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s by registering for the Walk.
Lake Health is the Presenting Sponsor of the Kirtland Walk to End Alzheimer’s for the third year in a row. Cynthia Moore-Hardy, FACHE, Lake Health president and CEO, is a member of the Alzheimer’s Association Cleveland Area Chapter board.

Funds raised will provide care and support services to the thousands of individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease in northeast Ohio and their families, advance education and awareness efforts; and drive research toward treatment, prevention, and, ultimately, a cure.”
Walk to End Alzheimer’s is more than a walk. It calls on participants to unite in a movement to reclaim the future for millions. In addition to the three-mile walk route (with a one-mile option), participants learn about Alzheimer’s disease and how to get involved with this critical cause, from advocacy opportunities to support programs and services to clinical studies.
Other activities before, during and after the walk include music by the Kirtland Drumline and the West Geauga High School marching band; face-painting; music and games along the route and complimentary admission to the Farmpark after the walk. Dogs on leashes are welcome along the three-mile route.
