Want to go Fishin’? Attend the Geauga Park District’s Fishing Opportunities on May 4 for Great Tips on When, Where and What to Catch in the Various Parks

The hidden gem fishing holes tucked within your Geauga Park District could make any morning, afternoon, evening or meal complete. But do you know where to go when you feel the itch to fish?

To receive great tips on where, when and what to catch in various parks, all are welcome to attend Fishing Opportunities in Geauga Park District on Friday, May 4th, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The West Woods, hosted by the parks’ Natural Resource Management team.

First, Park Biologist Paul Pira will outline how parks’ lakes and ponds are managed for sport fishing, the science that goes into the sport, and features of Geauga County’s natural lakes. Then Land Steward Jennifer Weitzel will share more information about new technology for park anglers and fishing surveys.

Those seeking basic information about fishing in the parks can also find it now 24/7 at the new Geauga Park District under Activities, then Fishing. Details posted here include location tips, inhabiting species and a link to Geauga Park District’s new fishing Facebook group.
