Monthly farm market returns to picnic shelters in Russell Township

Offering a local shopping opportunity in one of the county’s most popular parks, Geauga Park District’s West Woods Wednesdays Farm Market returns this summer to the second Wednesday of each month, July to September – a one-stop shop for all your mid-week, farm-fresh needs.

Mark your calendars now for this year’s farm markets, all from 4 to 7 p.m.: July 8, August 12 and September 9. Please note: We will practice social distancing and encourage face coverings at all 2020 farm market events.

In addition to vendors providing all kinds of locally made/grown items, strolling musicians will provide ambient music – Jesse High in July, Rebecca Wohlever in August and September – plus, an onsite concession trailer will serve snacks and drinks for purchase. Come out after work and make it an evening in the park!

Approved vendors are already excited to bring you their pre-packaged snacks, jerky and nuts, handmade soaps, pottery, purses and wallets, syrup, honey, fiber arts, dog/cat food, upcycled crochet rugs, handcrafted growth charts, tutus, signs, and much more.

However, there is still more space under the shelter to sell, so Geauga Park District will continue to accept applications from interested farm market vendors. Visit the new www.geaugaparkdistrict.org under Activities, then Special Events & Art Shows, to find a link for the 2020 vendor application.

The West Woods is located at 9465 Kinsman Road (Route 87) in Russell Township. With questions, please call 440-286-9516.
