Educate yourself in 2016 with Geauga Park District’s newest enjoyable, free Nature exhibit!
Opening Feb. 1, Home Sweet Habitat: A Place for Wildlife to Survive and Thrive will show you all about Geauga County’s natural homes – divided between forests, meadows and wetlands – and introduce you to their residents both common and unique.
Expect many animal mounts, interactive elements (like a crawl-through log, an otter slide, and a crawl-in beaver lodge build with real beaver sticks!), a couple robotic animals, and hands-on displays, games and activities for the whole family.
Home Sweet Habitat will be open daily 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from February through December, and one of the features of Frozen Fest on Sunday, Feb. 7, from noon to 4 p.m. The West Woods Nature Center is fully wheelchair/stroller accessible at 9465 Kinsman Road (Rt. 87) in Russell Township. Please call 440-286-9516 with questions.
